A precise brief makes the sample useful.
If your German academy or brand is developing a gi, begin with the garment you want to reproduce consistently. Fabric weight, trouser construction, fit and decoration all belong in the brief. A photograph can show the appearance, while a measurement table and material specification explain what must be manufactured.
Record how each measurement is taken
Provide a size chart in centimetres and identify the measurement points. Jacket length, sleeve length and trouser dimensions should use a consistent method. If you have an existing fit reference, describe the differences you want rather than relying on a size label alone.
Any measurement tolerances, wash checks or shrinkage expectations need written agreement before production. We do not introduce an assumed tolerance simply because it is common on another supplier’s chart.
Approve the specification and label content together
Confirm jacket fabric, trouser fabric, reinforcement details, collar construction and embroidery locations. Include final German wording where required for your intended label or packaging. Keep the approved text with the artwork revision so later changes are visible.
Tell us about any testing, documentation or market requirements before quotation. We review what can be supplied for the selected specification; catalog descriptions do not establish blanket certification. Any agreed testing scope and charges must be recorded separately.
Make the German consignee clear on the shipping brief
Send the exact recipient or business name, street and house number, postcode and town. Identify the person handling delivery and any warehouse instructions. Use the same agreed consignee details when checking the quotation and shipment documents.
Ask us to set out the freight basis and the allocation of clearance, taxes and duties before payment. A quoted garment price is not a statement that import costs are included. The final shipment arrangement depends on your address and the service agreed for the order.
Start with a garment.
Use a catalog reference to show the construction you have in mind. Final materials, branding, quantities and delivery are confirmed in your quotation.

Questions from Germany buyers
Can I provide my own technical pack?
Yes. Include drawings, measurements, material details and artwork. We review the pack and identify questions before confirming the quotation.
Does approving a sample guarantee event eligibility?
Sample approval confirms the agreed garment specification. Event acceptance depends on the relevant rules; share those requirements before development rather than assuming approval applies to every competition.
How should I request the same specification again?
Quote the previous order and approved sample reference, then confirm quantities and any changes. Materials, costs and scheduling are checked again before a reorder is accepted.
