Match the method to the garment
Embroidery, applied patches and printed artwork create different surfaces and construction requirements. Discuss the material and placement before selecting a method. Large or dense decoration may change the feel of a panel; review a representative sample instead of judging only a digital mockup.
Prepare usable artwork
Send your logo in its original vector format where available, plus a visual reference. Include the required dimensions, colour references and exact wording. A screenshot can communicate an idea, but it may not contain enough detail for production. Confirm artwork preparation needs before the quotation is finalized.
Approve placement on every relevant panel
Identify front, back, sleeves, legs and labels separately. State whether measurements are from seams, edges or the centre line. Check that artwork remains readable across the requested size range and does not unexpectedly cross a seam.
Keep one approved master
Mark the final mockup with a version number and approval date. Production panels must match that approved master. If artwork or wording changes, issue a replacement version and confirm the change before production; do not treat an informal message as an untracked final file.
Put it in writing
| Method to discuss | What to inspect on the sample |
|---|---|
| Embroidery | Stitch clarity, density, backing and comfort |
| Applied patch | Edge finish, attachment and placement |
| Sublimated panels | Colour, image scale and alignment at seams |
| Labels and packaging | Wording, dimensions, position and order-specific requirements |
