Build a quantity matrix
List each style, colour and size with its quantity, then check the totals. Identify which designs share a base garment and which need different construction. Minimum quantities and price depend on the specification and are confirmed with the quotation; a mixed assortment should not be assumed to satisfy every minimum.
Compare like-for-like quotations
Review materials, decoration, labels, sample charges, packing and freight separately. Catalog USD ranges are indicative per-piece prices, not a final delivered total. Ask what is included and what remains payable before comparing suppliers or approving payment.
Plan backwards from your required arrival
Provide the delivery destination and required arrival date. Separate sample development, revisions, approval, production and transport in the discussion. A production estimate is not the same as an arrival guarantee; confirm the schedule and shipping responsibilities for the specific order.
Make reorders traceable
Reference the previous order, sample and artwork versions. Confirm whether the fabric, fit, colours, labels and size assortment remain the same. Discuss material availability and any new sampling needs before assuming that a repeat order can follow the previous timeline.
Put it in writing
| Order detail | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Style / colour / size quantities | Makes the assortment and total explicit |
| Packing and labels | Defines how goods should be identified on arrival |
| Destination and receiver details | Supports an accurate shipping discussion |
| Required arrival date | Allows production and transport planning |
| Previous order reference | Connects a reorder to the approved specification |
