Treat the top and shorts as separate specifications
Matching artwork does not make two garments a complete technical brief. For the rash guard, discuss fabric composition, weight, stretch, sleeve length and fit. For the shorts, specify cut, length, waistband, closure and any stretch panels. Confirm available options in the quotation.
Review movement and comfort
Try the sample through the movements relevant to its use. Look for restrictive panels, uncomfortable seams and unexpected ride-up. Assess the intended compression with the correct size; a tighter garment is not automatically a better fitting one.
Check artwork on the assembled garment
A flat panel can look different after sewing and stretching. Check logos across seams, artwork scale, colour matching between top and shorts, and legibility when worn. Ask for photographs of the complete sample as well as individual details.
Separate training use from event eligibility
If an event has rules about colours, coverage, closures or branding, provide the current organizer’s requirements with your brief. The final design should be checked against those requirements before approval. Do not assume every custom garment is automatically competition eligible.
